confidence and self worth

Female boxers told us that boxing gave them confidence and a greatly improved sense of self worth.

For many women, navigating a society that demands beauty, thinness, wealth, and confidence can be endlessly exhausting and discouraging. Stepping into a boxing gym can empower you to define yourself in new ways—through strength, resilience, confidence, and a supportive boxing community.

The women we spoke to expressed that they felt more confident because they were part of this community of boxers. For some, boxing has enabled them to discover a stronger sense of identity and a version of themselves that they felt better about.

It's challenging to move through the world as a woman, often facing constant criticism.

Boxing can provide a space that exists outside the typical rules of femininity and consumerism, allowing you to reimagine yourself.
